About Economy..

I came up with my own theory regaring the financial crisis that is hitting so many nations all around the globe..

It is not like I understand much about economy ..I always suffer my own financial crisis near the end of the month ,before my pay check due.....

Anyway ,back to my genius theory:

yes ,you didn't mis-read that....

years ago ,I memorized this simple nursery rhyme ,and every time and then there is always some body or some thing remind me of its words..

This time it is the global financial crisis..Actually ,it fits the description of this crisis..How Fragile it actually is ,although it seemed very hard from out side..and how empty it is from inside...It sat really high on the wall (?! Wall Street) ..And it fell...And all King's men and horses are trying to put it together..

Any way, read this poem ,consider ,and you will find out how applicable it is on the current situation:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again

What do you think?

Best regards dear friends

till next time..

Trying to understand like you, I pressed our friend Dr. B-- for some economical explanation that makes sense. All I got out with that it's like I lend you sum xxx of dollars and then I use the credit as a guarantee to get loans from three other banks (i.e. xxx being multiplied by 3) at least. So, would you, Weda and BC, say that they deserve your symphathy?

So funny, love the analogy it does reflect an aspect of the crisis ... and brings back memories of old humpty dumpty eggs sitting on walls :)) .

Gheriani:It is just sad to see all the starving in the poorest nations suffer because of these people horrible mistakes..
I'm just sympathetic with those who suffers hunger in the deserts of Africa ,while the worlds wealth is lost in paying for luxurious houses and unreasonable debts..It is just sad..
Thank you dear gheriani..see u soon..

I like your metaphoric theory ...

but here were I live now, they think that there might be another optimistic expectations for what will happen :

Incy Wincy spider climbing up the spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
Now Incy Wincy spider went up the spout again!

dear friend it is always nice to see your posts rolling.

Hello my dear doctor. Humpty dumpty.....Well I live right in the middle of the stupid egg! The issues deal with greedy people! Some innocent and some not! My state is the hardest hit for employment, forecloser, taxes...... I know all to well about that stupid egg! We can only hope this (SO CALLED SUPER POWER) hahahahahaha can fix this mess. Most of all I hope those greedy people realize that they messed up and took the rest of us down with them! This is also an election year, lets vote into office someone WITHOUT oil on his mind! HHHHHUUUUMMMMMMM, maybe a man who OWNS his own oil maybe wasn't such a good choice in the first place???? Makes one think! Well, I am truely sorry for this F*&#@$ country I live in! It has sucked down the entire globe! Trust me I have many sleepless nights. Allah, please help us all! Katie (michigan fan)

Katie:It must be scary to live in the middle of this fragile shell..I know...Katie,greedy people will always be there what ever we do..The trick is to make the balance in the equation by allowing the greedy be greedy(capitalism in pure form) ,but to consider others needs and lives..
I'm sure u share me the worry for a world where we rich nations harvest millions of tons of corn fields that can feed millions of starving people ,for the production of bio-fuel...basically a poor child dies so a wealthy fellow can pay less for his fuel..sigh..
Greed ,greed..that is the magic word..
and about the superpower fixing the mess...well ,,it is still stuck in the mess in Iraq..but we can only hope they will realize..
I can't wait to see in what direction the elections in the state will go..i think the whole world is watching now..
I wish the best for all...And i wish things will be better with you..i know how hard it is specially in the state of Michigan..Wish the better for all
Best regards

hey there B.C!!
your discription of the famouse humpty dumpty was the best way to describe the economic crisis! i've heard this discription before by a political analysist on the news once..!
i also heard on the jazeera a very nice discription of the status of the state... it was about 4-5 years ago by a political analysist as well... describing it as the death of prophet sulaiman, that when he died no one knew he died due to the fact everyone was scared (the servents that were working for him) until the little bug came and ate the wooden stick for them to realize he had died..!

so, could it be?! did it fall?! but where is / who is our little bug?! and is it that we are just to amaized of it, that we can't see with our eyes it is not as strong as we think, or as strong as it was?!?!?

everything that goes up must come down....!!! i'm sure you agree with me on that...! besides, this so called ressesion that is going on happend once before in the recent past!... the true question here is: who's chance is it to rise next and be: "twinkle, twinkle little star... how i wonder wat you are..?!?!!?"

thank you for your post, and take care...
salam!!

Dr.Butterfly: The more you thjink about it ,the more you relize it is the most logical description..No better way to explain the the current situation than the empty shell that keeps rising and rising and then fall..
Glad to know an analyst had used the same picture to describe the crisis..I didn't hear him ,it just occured to me ..But as i said: the old good Humpty Dumpty fits the description..
also i liked the Prophet sulaiman picture..Really good too...I believe our bug here is the war on Iraq..It exposed the truth about a decaying economy that must be reformed..

I agree with you for every thing that rise must be a time for it to fall..But to tell the truth ,i also believe this might be temporary..The world economy is based on shaky foundations...But the time of its fall is not due yet..I believe there is still a chance to fix things but with deep scars..
Whose turn is it to rise? good question ..There is so many candidates ,but i think only the future will tell us..and it is not necessary the near future..
Thank you for participating..
Best regards
be well
